We check the deck for moisture damage with a Protimeter pin meter, replace any compromised underlayment, and weave new CertainTeed Landmark shingles into the existing pattern.

New Roof Installation
We price new installs by the roofing square (100 sq ft). Architectural shingles in Alamogordo typically run $350-$550 per square installed, depending on the pitch and access. That includes materials, labor, cleanup, and warranty registration.
Metal Roofing

Shingle Roofing

We calculate gutter capacity using the rainfall intensity formula: roof square footage x pitch factor x rainfall rate (inches/hr for Alamogordo). Standard 5" K-style handles 5,520 sq ft of effective roof area. Bigger roofs or steeper pitches need 6" gutters with 3x4" downspouts. We hang with hidden hangers screwed into rafter tails every 24".
Roof Inspection
Annual roof inspections catch small problems before they become expensive ones. A cracked pipe boot is a $150 fix. Ignoring it means $3,000 in ceiling and wall water damage. We recommend an inspection every 2-3 years for roofs under 10 years old, and annually after that.
Emergency Roof Repair
Emergency roof repairs for active water intrusion follow a strict protocol: tarping with reinforced polyethylene sheeting secured to the roof deck, interior water extraction guidance, and temporary flashing at penetrations. Our Alamogordo emergency crews carry 20x30 tarps, 2x4 nailer boards, and masonry anchors for various deck types. Permanent repairs are scheduled within 48-72 hours once materials are sourced.
Skylight Installation
A skylight installed wrong will leak. The flashing has to integrate with the shingle courses. Step flashing on the sides, headwall flashing on top, and a sill pan underneath. We use manufacturer flashing kits because they're engineered to work with the skylight frame.
